Henry Delp had three daughters and he operated three different businesses. Each business was given to a daughter and her husband. Kate (Katie) and Isaiah Cassel received the farming business. Jane (Jennie) and Garret Nice received the huckster business (selling butter, eggs, etc. door-to-door). Ella and Menno Clemens received the General Store.
Ella and Menno Clemens passed the General Store business on to their daughter and son-in-law, Ella Mae and Warren Rosenberger Henning. The business was then passed to their son and son-in-law, Robert Clemens Henning and Russell Alderfer. In 1994, Robert Henning and R. Carey Henning (Robert’s son) bought out Russell Alderfer. R. Carey Henning and Robert C. Henning, II (Carey’s son) own and operate the business today.
